Bertille went to church this morning. Papa went up in the woods again. Today is Louis Birkner’s birthday. The priest Frank Swindle came back last night. He left from here last Spring & now he is back again. Papa hauled a load of ground up for the priest this morning. Uncle Fred brought Aunt Mary up this afternoon & then he went back home again. Aunt Mary did some sewing. She was here for supper, we had pancakes. Papa went out in the woods this afternoon in Lord’s Corner & brought some shade trees along home. We planted them out this evening. Uncle Fred went to Wm. Harbaughs first & then he came up here, & then they went to Louis Birkner’s. Lester Gregson & wife & Bobby were here this evening, he brought us our sack of feed. Cyril Eichenseer was down this evening, he wanted to know what Aunt Mary’s middle name was. I seen in the paper that Tiptown Church is going to have a Euchre & turkeys will be disposed of next Sunday night. Rexroth’s in Waterloo, his mother died last night at 7 o’clock.
