Jake Klein was here wanted to know what we used for our chicks when they were sick. A bunch kids from Catholic School, came here wanted to sell us a thicket [sic] for there play & graduation exercise on May 24. Adm. 25¢; we didn’t buy none. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary came got the mule, worked his patch up over across the street. Bertille helped them plant corn, pumpkins; had lunch with them.
