Leona, Bobby, Floyd were up this afternoon. Elmer Kammler was over a little while. “Billy” had been sick but he said he was better today. There was a man around deliveries some paper for the Slack Furniture Co. at E. St. Louis, Mo. Bertille took 5 dozen eggs to the store, got .22¢ a dozen. Uncle Fred and Aunt Mary were here this evening. We found 28 eggs today.

Uncle Fred and Aunt Mary were up for church this morning. They went home after church & in the afternoon went to the cemetery. Papa, Rosalia, Bertille went out in the woods, then went to the cemetery too, to get some flowers to plant out. In the evening we went up to see Mamie Eichenseer. Mamie and Angela went out to Mueths today. We found 28 eggs.

Papa, Rosalia, Bertille went to Waterloo this afternoon to Miss Frischs sale. We stopped at Henry’s when we came back. We found 30 eggs.
Friday, March 28, 1930
Rosalia took 3 dozen eggs and got .21¢ a dozen. Rosalia and Bertille went to church this evening. Wilfred Eichenseer came down this morning to get his kite. They were flying kites and it flew away down here and stuck fast to the telephone post. Louis Millman has a little son and also Clay Young has a little son. We found 29 eggs.

Uncle Fred and Aunt Mary came up this morning. Rosalia made a dress. Aunt Mary and Rosalia went over to Meng’s to get a dress made for Rosalia. Aunt Mary had dinner with us. After dinner, Aunt Mary and Bertille went to the quilting at Mrs. Eckert’s. They now have 16 quilts finished. In the evening Uncle Fred came up and they both ate supper here. We found 29 eggs today. Bertille took 4 dozen eggs to the store, got .21¢ a dozen.

Mr. Jac. Erle was here this afternoon. We got 300 little chicks this morning but the weather is awful cold for the little chickens. Henry came up this evening to the store, he came down here a little while. We found 29 eggs.

It is snowing. I guess this is the 15th snow this winter. The roads are sloppy. We got a letter from Sig. Dudenhoefer today with the picture what were taken when they were here that Sunday. They sure did take good. We found 28 eggs today.
Monday, March 24, 1930
Today is Robert’s birthday. Papa, Rosalia, Bertille went out to Henry’s this evening. Uncle Fred and Aunt Mary were also there. It rained heavy while we were out there. Leona, Bobby, Floyd were here this afternoon. Papa went to New Athens this morning. Henry, Rosalia, Bertille all got a letter from the County Clerk of Chester for the remains of Mrs. Bridget Dunn. Papa sent the papers which Dudenhoefers sent out here for him to fill up back again, but he didn’t fill in the blanks. We found 28 eggs today.

Uncle Fred and Aunt Mary and Henry were up for church this morning. After dinner Papa, Rosalia, Bertille went out to Aunt Mary’s for supper. Christ Buehler and Mrs. Louise Birkner were also there for supper. It just started to rain heavy. There is to be a moving picture show tonight in Griffins Hall, the name is “King of Kings” given by the Catholic Church. But they rang over the (phone) lines to post pone it, then they rang back and said it was going to have it. So Papa, Rosalia, Bertille went up and stopped for Mamie Eichenseer and then went to the show. It was pretty good. They had a pretty fair crowd for the way the weather was. Admission was .40¢ We found 21 eggs today. There is going to be a play in Griffins Hall after Easter.

Bertille sold 5 dozen eggs and got .21¢ a dozen. Papa went to Glessner’s sale this afternoon. We found 32 eggs today.
