Seen in the paper quite a few people from Waterloo attended the World’s Fair; at Chicago the past week. Mrs. Wm. Scheider got her divorce last Mon, he has to paid $75 alimony. Mr. Frank Finnerty is going to have a sale July 29, also Julius Stensel, Aug. 19. Ralph Collier had the Whiteside property for sale, just the place, Papenberg live there.

We all when out to Henry they Threshed we were there for dinner. The boys came along home tonight. we were over at Wagner’s.

We took the boys home and brought Bertille along back tonight we all when to Red Bud to the Pinice [sic]. Papa won a sack of Flour.

Rosalia & Bertille went out to Henry’s, took our wash along, & washed, ironed, patched. Bertille stayed & Robert & Floyd went along home, with Rosalia, & helped dig potatoes. Philip Mueth was here & bought hams 2 for 15¢ lb.

We went to church, nice, cool day, turner pinic [sic] at Smithon [sic]. Uncle Joe was here, wanted to pay Rosalia for threshing, but neither new what they take; so he is going to wait awhile. We sold 11 doz. eggs 12¢. Mr. & Mrs. Zimmer, & Mrs. Vogel & Rose, where looking at Aunt Mary’s house, they are going to rent 3 rooms, that is the Mrs. & Rose the teacher for McQuillian School; $6.00 mo. house & garage. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary where here for lunch, then we all went to Turner Pinic [sic] at Smithon [sic]; this evening, cool nights here later.

Pap & Rosalia, Robert came out to Henry’s this eve, brought ice along, & we had ice cream, took Bert along back home again. It rained Friday night Henry didn’t go threshing at Biffar’s today. Wagner kids where here playing with Robert. Pinic [sic] at Red Bud.
Friday, July 14, 1933
Rosalia went up to Mueths & finished threshing, & Bertille stayed at Henry’s again, all night & Sat. all day. Rosalia had dinner there today; by Henry’s, Papa took Uncle Freds, horse & mule out there, he was there for dinner, they where up in evening. Robert went along home with Rosalia until Sat. night. Wheat is now $1.00 bu.

Papa brought Rosalia out to help cook at Mueth’s threshing, Bertille cleaned & washed at Henry’s, we went in to get her & kids after dinner; she was out all day, & papa came back in the evening to get us both again, Clem Parker went threshing on Henry keu [? unclear].
Wednesday, July 12, 1933
This morning we all went to Henry’s again, Mrs. Geodelle & Ray where there, & Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary, they started threshing about 9:30, we all had lunch, dinner, lunch, they finished there & then went to Levi Ganley’s had supper there, & threshed 8 loads over there, Leona got awful sick, she went in to Waterloo with Goedells, the night & came come tomorrow.
