Papa & Rose fixing fence; Mrs. Rennecker came, said if anybody calls at there play, should sent them down to Katy’s, digging a pond today. A guy here wanted old gold. Bertie fixed sweet potatoe [sic] rows. We went to Donahue’s to Milching election dance, 2 kegs of beer & free dance. Musci [sic] by Nic Ellis, or Sunrise Four; Mrs. Donahue is very bad, not expected to live.
