Went to mass. Martin Fahey was buried last day, he was in church on holiday 15. died suddenly. Mr. Geo Braun, of Hecker is getting buried this afternoon at Red Bud 1:30. Orville Schmidt & Lorreta Braun were published last time today, wedding Wed. morn. here at 9 o clock mass; Uncle Fred & A. [Aunt] Mary, Henrys family & Gregsons are all invited with special cards, of invitation to Log Cabin Wed eve. that is also Uncle Freds wedding day. Mr Clem Parker & Mamie Eichenseer were published 1st time here morn. Bill [Klein] & Bert [Bertille] went down Miss. bottoms this afternooon. Rained again little shower. Freeburg have Homecoming.

Went to 6 o clock mass. Cooked catsup. Leo & family came, went to Burksville sale; such crowd. Chas. Mueth got bu. peaches. Leo & family stayed for supper. Bill [Klein] came from work, Bert [Bertille] went along home with him. Uncle Fred & A. [Aunt] Mary were also at sale. Emil was visiting at Henry’s, we took bu. peaches along out for them.

Went to 6:15 Holiday Mass. Birkners were here awhile. We cleaned chickens etc. delivered everything cake, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, lard beets. Rained a little, light showers. Nice cool. Emil came awhile. Bill & Bert [Bertille] went to Belleville. Henry came this eve. he was to see Fr. Aydt. about sending Rob. [Robert] to Hecker School it’s alright he should send him; for to make his solemn communion.

Holiday. Went to church early. Henry & Leona went to Belleville left the kids here. Pap went along with Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary to Hazelriggs sale. Henry & Leona came this eve; we all went to Floraville to free calico hop at Keims tavern; nice crowd. Cloudy had little rain this morn.

Holiday. Went to Red Bud 6 o clock mass. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary had lunch & dinner, this afternoon we all went to Belleville, we got spring hats white one. Took chances on Smithon [sic] Catholic Church pinic [sic], on Sept. 2; on 12 articles from Mrs. Schaefer. Went to Renneckers awhile. Gus Klotz & family came to.

Holiday. Went to mass at 6 o’clock, Red Bud. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary were here awhile; we stayed home all day.

Holiday. We went early to church, had dinner, & Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary went along to Belleville all got dress good hats white ones 29¢. Blowed out a tire. Uncle Fred & Papa went into Waterloo in Uncle Freds machine & got new tires for the chev, brought 1, & the other one sometime this week, we took the whip, went out to Aunt Mary’s, till they got back, had supper there, they had lunch here. We got 11¢ eggs. Mr. Jung stopped again, he pay 10½¢.
