Washed, ironed, cooked catsup. Leo & Rose came we went along to Emil sale, pap got harness etc. everything went pretty good had large crowd; fruit jars 70¢ doz. can buy new ones for 69¢ & 75¢, antique bed $8. Mrs. Krack got it; Mrs. Troppe got some old things to. We went to Orlets for supper. Leo & pap went to Guernsheimer’s looked at pigs, bought 5 – $13. nice ones.

Canned 5 qts. peaches, 1 tomatoes, cooked catsup. Pap went to Waterloo to get fruit jars; didn’t have them in yet, he stayed all morn. still didn’t come, he is going to deliver them tomorrow. Berniece came said, there was some fish left, if anybody wanted some, at Mertz’s on ice; we don’t want any today. Uncle Fred & A. [Aunt] Mary came this afternoon, he helped put up stands, got 5 chickens – 12 lbs. @ 19¢ for pinic [sic] tomorrow; had watermelon lunch. Nic Schaefer Jr. was here, stopped on way home from Hess sale at Ruma. Gypsy Joe sang song for Mrs. Hess by Agnes today.

Henry came, looked at the wheat, pap went out there this morning, started but had to quit; it is to green yet; wait till Mon. now, then cut up here. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary went up, we all went to Waterloo to Streicher’s sale, bought 35¢. All kind fruit jars, for 10¢ 35 of them. Went to church this afternoon at Waterloo. Rose & Bert went to Maniers got fish sandwiches & beer. Boy it was good.
