Papa got some whey. We all went to Waterloo this afternoon & paid up bills, dentist, got a barrel for 25¢. It is so cool these days, & nite. Hy. Kirsh was here to see about some Stark’s fruit trees. he is going to replace them for different ones. Seen in the paper free dance at Breezy Hill Aug. 24. Wed.

Mr. Hill was here this morning & asked for permission to bury a dog on our ground, Papa told him it was alright. They shot that shepherd dog that was around here, it was a lost dog. Mr. Willie Ganley was here this morning, he wanted to see Papa. Papa & Rosalia went to Belleville & took some eggs along in to sell & they also want to get some fruit trees at Dintelmanns Nursery. Bertille was at church this morning. J. Sauzek bought the 12 doz. eggs in Belleville for .38¢ a doz. They brought 18 fruit trees along.

Today the Rabbit season is opened. Papa went to Belleville this morning to look for fruit trees. Rosalia, Bertille went to Uncle Fred’s and Aunt Mary’s to fix our dresses. We had dinner out there, & watermelons. Henry was here this evening, he brought his cow hide up to the store. Eggs are .31¢.
