Went early to Red Bud to mass. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary stoped [sic] awhile, had lunch here. Henry & family came this afternoon had supper here. Wagner kids were here awhile. Omer & Bert went to Evansville.

Pap & Rose took 10 bus. wheat to Waterloo, got 84¢, last old wheat; got flour & chick mash & fattening mash. We got chicken dinner today. Mr. Wolf of Freeburg was here. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary came to get there radio battery tonite, Henry & family came up, brought milk & ice we made ice cream, about 1 gal; boy! was it good. Beautiful day.

Henry & family came up had lunch, finished cutting here & went home, started there. Rosalia took the boys to Waterloo Suslr [? – unclear] tution [sic]. Pap & Rose went out to Henrys, had dinner, lunch & supper.

We washed, ironed. Henry & family came, cutting wheat, Leona on the binder, pap shacking, had lunches, dinner & supper. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary were up this evening. Mrs. Staufenbiel came to see Aunt Mary. Mrs. Frances Benedick 92 yres. old of Red Bud died, will be buried Wed. Red Bud church & Freeburg cemetery.

Rose & Bert went out to Henry’s, & Leona & kids went along over to see Mrs. Joe Schilling & Sister Everdina, or Frances, she is still the same; little stouter, Mrs. is feeling pretty good. Mrs. Helen Walsh & John Schilling & girls also came; we stayed at Leona’s had dinner & lunch, we washed feathers, couple pillows & all the feathers in 1 bed; sure is some mess; put them in the washer & through the wringer. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary were up, he helped pap alter the pigs; Ted Eichenseer was here, about house Insurance. Eggs 18¢.

Cleaned chicken house. Rose & Bert went to Waterloo took wheat in 85¢ we got. Leona isn’t feeling so well, went to E. St. Louis this morn. to Dr. Mr. Weber of Red Bud looked at the horse, & bought it for $25.00, going to get it tomorrow. Mr. Geo. Hominghausen died last nite at the hospital, sick about 1 week, had pneummia [sic]; will be buried from Dashner’s parlor to St. Marcus Church & cemetery at Round Prairie.

Went to Waterloo mass. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary stopped awhile; Chris Buehler’s & Henry’s family went to see them this afternoon. Rose & Berti went to Mamie’s, seen Vic’s & Elmer Kammler’s houses. Beautiful day & the cars on the road, awful. Geo. Homringhausen was taken to Red Bud hospital last Thurs. nite has double pneumia [sic], at present is packed in ice, has awful high fever.

Bert washed. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary went home. Henry & family & Bert went in to Belleville this morning. Rose came along home, & ironed. Geo. Wagners were up to see pap at hospital tonite. Rotary Convention in Belleville these days.

Henry & family, Mrs. Cleveland & Rose came to Belleville this morning & Bert went along home, had flat tire coming home, got here about 10’oclock. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary came up to stay with Bert tonite, they were home all day. Bert went up town this morn. & to see Gerti Gartner were she works, awhile for part time.
