Boy! is it a heavy dew this morn. Started threshing again, at Ganley’s, this afternoon. We went to Henrys had lunch dinner supper; had the thresher for lunch, 243 bus. we got 81 bus. We went to Mason’s from there. Mrs. Geodelle was out but she was sick.

Monday, Nov. 25, 1935

We washed, ironed, patched, pap went out to get his men to help saw wood this afternoon; Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary came up, he helped & Henry & Emil, Geo Schilling sawed, also J. Mueth & J. Mason & Omer helped 25¢ for 1½ hrs. work; finished about 3’o clock; they were home, Uncle & Aunt had supper here. Eggs 31¢ today Berti got the corn checks & wheat checks cashed, altogether $41.30.

Friday, Jan. 27, 1933

Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary stopped in, from here they went to Belleville. Papa & Rosalia went out to Henry’s to get a load of wheat & oats. Mr. Bess Miller of Waterloo, is going to give a birthday dance Feb. 1. Adm. 25¢ musci [sic] by the accidentals. The way he says in the paper that Miss Ethel mason teacher of Kirsch School, is going to resign on Feb. 10, to get married. Mr. Russel Gregson is driving a new plymouth sedan. It is awful cold this evening.

Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1930

Rosalia & Bertille went to church this morning.  It is raining again this morning.  Papa went to Waterloo today.  Bertille mailed the letter to Chicago Mail Order.  Bertille got the mail & then we went down to see Deuker’s.  They had company from St. Louis for a little while.  Miss Mason the teacher from the upper school was also there.  We 5 played ruma and then we played bunco.
