Washed, ironed; scrubbed basement; cold packed 6 qts pork sausage. Uncle Fred & A. [Aunt] Mary came this afternoon; cleaned up from butchering. Wm. Ganley brought our turkey up Mon. 12 1/2 lb. @ 20 [cents]. Got the Chicago Mail Order everything is O.K. Got Calandar [sic] from Chas. Grosses at Waterloo.

We fried in bacon & sausage. Lena Meng got 2 lbs. pork sausage, this morn. for dinner. Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary where up he took turnips out. Louis Birkner’s birthday tomorrow hers. Mr. Jerome Cortner 23 & Lorena Neff 20 marriage license was in paper, being married at Paderborn this morning. Wedding dance Daabs Clubhouse, attendants Ester Cortner & Eugene Neff.

Papa got crushing done this morn. Mr. John Wiegard 30 & Mamie Kleber 21 are getting married today at Smithon [sic], with Fred & Dorthy as best, sister to the bride, & brother of the groom. They are having a dance at the Brick House, but we aren’t invited. George Boll & Ike Napier where going around selling hog meat today, we didn’t take any on account Henry butchering; he sold pork saussage [sic] & hams for 12½ & the rest for 10¢, so did Henry. Mrs. Stauenfbiel came over to see if she could ride down with us to Red Bud in the morning, she wants to go to church there.
